Manufacturing Process

The manufacturing process of hollow section steel typically involves the following steps:
Raw material preparation: Select suitable steel materials, such as low-carbon steel or alloy steel.
Forming processing: Forming raw steel plates or strips into tube billets through cold rolling, bending and other processes.
Welding: Connect the two edges of the pipe blank by welding to form a closed pipe body. Common welding methods include resistance welding, plasma arc welding, etc.
Heat treatment: To improve the strength and toughness of pipes, annealing, normalizing and other heat treatment processes are required.
Testing and calibration: Conduct size testing on pipes and perform calibration if necessary.
Post processing: Further processing such as cutting and painting as needed.

The hot working process of steel pipes goes through a series of steps such as material preparation, heating treatment, forming processing, surface treatment, testing and quality control, as well as packaging and leaving the factory.
Hot rolling process of steel pipes
Heating: The steel billet is first heated to an appropriate temperature (usually between 1200-1300 ℃). This can be achieved through electric furnaces or other heating methods.
Perforation: The heated steel billet will be fed into the piercing machine and punched to form a tube billet during the rolling process.
Rolling: The pipe blank undergoes a series of rolling processes, including rough rolling and finishing rolling. These rolling opportunities gradually shape the pipe blank into the required size and shape.
Cooling: After rolling, the billet will be cooled to an appropriate temperature to ensure the metal structure and mechanical properties.
Detection and post-processing: After rolling is completed, the steel pipe will undergo size, surface, and internal defect detection. Qualified pipes can undergo further processing such as cutting, welding, and coating.
